Born in Cochabamba, Bolivia
Northern Virginia & Washington D.C. based artist
Alejandra Salvatierra is a hyper-realistic artist who mainly works with charcoal, graphite and ink. Through her work she explores memories and the stages of life. As a single parent most of her work revolves around motherhood and capturing her daughters growth throughout the years.
Alejandra has worked as a ceramics instructor teaching k-5 in Fairfax, VA and is currently working as a Visual Arts teacher of all ages. She's also a commissioned artist creating custom portraits for people and events. Gaining recognition on social media at the beginning of her art career, when she began drawing commissions for reality stars in 2014. Her work spans from Drawing, Photography, Advanced Printmaking, Bookmaking & Ceramics. Alejandra graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with her Associates in Fine Arts and George Mason University with her Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Drawing.
